INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARE
Surface preparation is not necessary. However, oil, flaking paint and scaly rust should be removed with a brush or sand paper. It is not necessary to remove or pre-treat normal rusty areas.

APPLY
SHAKE VERY WELL prior to use. RUST-X may be applied by brush, roller, spray or by dipping rusty object in bath. Apply generously to rusted area and allow to dry. Rusty areas will turn darker (almost black) indicating the chemical reaction is complete.  Note, the shade of the finish after the conversion is dependent upon the level of rust.  Areas with "surface" rust will not turn as dark as surfaces with deeper layers of rust but all rust will be converted.  Re-apply, if necessary, to achieve a uniform, glossy finish.

PAINT
RUST-X coating can serve as a primer or undercoating for paint . Suitable paint may be applied to the surface in 24 hours, depending on humidity.

RUST-X is a weak acidic solution. Care should be taken to avoid skin and eye contact. Always wear rubber gloves and goggles when handling the product. If skin contact occurs, wash with soap and water. If eye contact occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and contact physician. Do not ingest. If ingestion occurs, induce vomiting and contact physician. Product may leave discoloration on concrete or wood.

DO NOT allow product to Freeze because it will lose its rust converting properties.
